For childcare and OSHC
An activity that finishes before pick-up.
Creative daily builds for OSHC, vacation care and childcare services, designed around fluctuating attendance, shared rooms and short session windows.
What we deliver for services.
Vacation care weeks
A structured build each day across a full week, with a group piece that grows as the week runs.
Weekly OSHC sessions
One 40 minute session a week across a term, run inside your existing routine.
Early learning friendly
Age-appropriate materials, pre-portioned per child, for services with younger cohorts.
Materials handled
Everything arrives in one stackable tub and leaves in it. No shopping, no prep.
Educator-light
The GLS facilitator leads. Your educators stay in the room and retain duty of care.
QIP evidence
My Time, Our Place mapping, observation notes and photographs supplied after each block.
Why services work with GLS.
Built for changing numbers
Each day is a complete build, so a child who misses Wednesday is not behind on Thursday.
Packs away every day
Work in progress stores flat in the tub, so shared rooms stay usable.
Cleared facilitators
Facilitators hold current working with children clearances and are supervised.
Reporting that counts
Attendance and outcome evidence in a form your service can use for its QIP.
How a childcare block runs.
For OSHC coordinators and early learning services who need an activity that survives fluctuating attendance and packs away before pick-up.

In the room
What participants do
Each day is a complete short build, so a child attending Tuesday and Thursday only still finishes something both days. Across a full week the daily builds combine into one larger piece for the children who attend every day.
- Start and finish a small build within 40 minutes
- Add the day's piece to the group build where they attend consecutive days
- Work in mixed-age pairs, with older children given a helper role
- Pack their own materials back into the tub as part of the routine
What they practise
- Creativity
- Fine motor development
- Collaboration
- Persistence
- Routine and pack down
What they leave with: A finished object each day that goes home that afternoon, plus a group build that stays at the service to the end of the week.
Session shape
What a session looks like
Forty minutes is short, so the flow is compressed and the pack down is inside the session, not after it.

Alignment
My Time, Our Place
OSHC services report against My Time, Our Place, so sessions are written against its outcomes and the mapping is supplied with the booking.
- Outcome 1: children have a strong sense of identity, through choice and ownership of their own build
- Outcome 3: children have a strong sense of wellbeing, through achievable daily completion
- Outcome 4: children are confident and involved learners, through testing and rebuilding
- Outcome 5: children are effective communicators, through explaining their build to the group
- Evidence for your QIP is supplied as photographs and educator observation notes
Reporting
What you receive afterwards
At the end of a block the service receives:
- Daily attendance counts
- My Time, Our Place outcome mapping for the delivered sessions
- Educator observation notes usable as QIP evidence
- Photographs of the builds, subject to your service's image permissions

FAQ
Questions we are asked about this program
- What happens when numbers change day to day?
- Each day is a complete build, so children who miss a day are not behind. Materials are pre-portioned to booked capacity and unused portions carry to the next day.
- Do our educators have to run anything?
- No. The GLS facilitator leads. Your educators remain in the room and retain duty of care, as they would for any visiting provider.
- Where does the work go between days?
- Work in progress lies flat in the same tub that the materials arrive in. It needs one shelf, not a table.
- Can we book weekly instead of a full week?
- Yes, weekly across a term works. The minimum first commitment is one full week so the group build format holds.
